YEAR 1

Year 1’s Memories of Term 2

Jasmine: I enjoyed learning how to write, doing my maths work and completing my grammar book.
Dua: I enjoyed playing on the playground with my friends. In Music, I liked learning about the drums and how to play them.
Ajwa: I have enjoyed learning maths and doing homework. I have enjoyed literacy groups.
Ali M: I like to play on the basketball court.
Ali Z: I like learning about shapes. I like playing sports with Brodie.
Reza: I learned how to brush my teeth. I learned how to keep my hands clean. In sports, I learned how to do push-ups.
Mahdi: I learned how to brush my teeth. I also learned how to use a toothbrush. In Maths, I like doing adding and I got better at it.
Ahmad A: I enjoyed planting and I also enjoyed playing soccer. In health, I learned how to brush my teeth.
Ahmed E: I enjoyed writing. I like it when people help me with my work and pictures.
Mohammed: I enjoyed playing sports.
Fatima: I like playing soccer and doing maths.
Ayla: I like it when we were learning and doing things on word document.
Aleena: I learnt how to wash my hands.
Nargis: I like Art.
Aysha: I like working on the computers.
Abbas: I like to play on the basketball court.

Since the last newsletter, outside activities have featured in the Year 1’s learning. Those students who brought materials from home spent four periods outside, painting and creating their dioramas for their integrated assessment task. The whole class have also planted vegetables in the garden beside our classroom.

On the 8th June, the Year 1’s attended “Yo Diddle Diddle” at Eastbank Performing Arts Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed this session.
